I complain about my cell phone. It's made to do so many more things than make phone calls, it's no longer easy to use as a simple phone. So, it's good to know that all this new media and technology is doing good in the world.

Classroom media, too?

Speaking of smartphones and handhelds, the April issue of Fast Company predicts big things in the future for smart media in kids' classrooms — handhelds with games for learning, like "First Words" a pre-K app for the iPhone, "KidCalc" for kids ages 2 to 8 that teaches math, counting, sorting, and number tracing. Even the XO laptop designed for second and third grade classroom use. And to think I can't set the time on my sports watch!
