We were in a quandary. The world is a cluttered place, both in terms of marketing and the environment. To be related to an industry (graphic design and advertising) that adds more “clutter,” literally and figuratively, was not the most comfortable spot to be in.
That said, we educated ourselves about environmentally friendly practices, joined groups and networks that support sustainability and adopted tenants that we live by, including:
• work toward having a paperless workflow
• reduce, reuse and recycle to have less impact on the environment
• specify environmentally-friendly papers and processes
• educate our clients about green initiatives and corporate social responsibility
• donate creative services to at least one nonprofit client per year
• become members of DesignCanChange.com, GreenConnected.com and other organizations that address the environment
• volunteer for or give annually to charitable causes including Heifer International, the Nature Conservancy, local Domestic Violence Center, and Reading is Fundamental among others
• treat our clients with respect, kindness and professionalism
Today, we are doing our best to effect positive change for our clients and the world. And we love to work with organizations that try to do the same, whether it’s working with the nonprofit that improves the lives of those families in crisis or the green company that innovates and educates or the staffing company that creates jobs and contributes to a cause. Our goal is to change the world for the better, one relationship at a time.
