Welcome to the insight180 team, Nikole!

Insight180 is delighted to welcome Nikole McWright to our team! Disguised as a mild-mannered office manager, Nikole’s superpowers include organizational magic and mastery.

This is your first time working in a creative agency. Where were you before?

Yes, this is my first agency experience. I’m also working with Leadership Howard County part-time as their operations and event assistant. Prior to that, I worked in Human Resources.

What was your dream job as a child?

Actually, I wanted to be a television journalist. I liked the idea of reporting news and getting to ask people questions about what was going on. I’ve always loved keeping up with current events.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

What time!?… lol. Well, I’m in a band, which is super fun! We play a lot of classic rock. I also like spending time with my kids and driving them around to soccer practices.

Since you play classic rock, we have to ask, who is your favorite classic rock artist?

Hmm… I’m going to have to go with Tom Petty — he’s so good! We usually have a Petty song in our line up. You can’t leave him out!

Who or what inspires you? Why?

My kids definitely inspire me. I’m also inspired to help people. I know that sounds cheesy, but I’m really motivated to help make things run more efficiently for others. I love organizing and decluttering and have quite a knack for it… so much so that people pay me to help them organize! Sometimes people need an objective perspective – I really enjoy making sense of clutter.

If you could give yourself a job title, what would it be?

Master Magician! Because I’m able to come into situations that are changing and growing – and might even feel chaotic or overwhelmed. I help create order and systems… it really is kind of magical.

What drew you to insight180?

Wendy reached out to her network at Leadership Howard County, saying that she was looking for part-time help to work on systems and processes – someone who, at a high level, could jump in to organize, respond and be part of a well-functioning team. The position seemed right up my alley – I knew she wanted someone who learned quickly and who loved “processes.” I knew Wendy from my previous work experience when I was working with a mutual friend/colleague in Human Resources, and was thrilled about the opportunity to work together.

Do you have a favorite quote or motto?

“Lean on people when you need to and help where you can.” I’ve been through a lot of crazy and challenging times and learned that leaning on people is the best way to keep your sanity and to make good decisions.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would go to Hawaii in a second and live on Maui! It’s absolutely gorgeous there. Beautiful weather…beautiful water… (so I’ll be working on trying to get the insight180 team fully “remote-capable!”).

Anything else you’d like to add?

I’m just really excited to be working with the insight180 team!

Thanks for sharing, Nikole! We are so excited to have you as a part of the insight180 team!
